Chappel C of E (Controlled) Primary School was founded by the Church of
England in 1871 to provide education according to the principles and
practices of the Church of England. The school became a Controlled
School in 1951.
Our village school sits at the centre of the
village and is surrounded by the Village Green, the Play Equipment and
The Swan. Although small, the school is perfectly formed ad is made up
of a hall that is equipped for PE, a servery, three classrooms, one of
which is a relocatable classroom, an ICT suite, and an administrative
office. The school has well developed grounds and a playing field. A
secure play area has been developed for the Foundation stage children.
