This is just an update on the new fencing in the village.
Following a summer visit last year by a group of travellers, the Parish
Council instructed a contractor to fence various areas of the village.
New fencing has been completed around the pond near the viaduct, which
has replaced the very old chestnut paling. The Council is seeking
to refund the expense of this area of fencing from the landowner - Network Rail.
Other areas which have been fenced are the play area - both at the
village green end and next to the River Colne. The newly restored
football field has also had new fencing constructed as well as a new
gate and extra strong padlock and hasp.
The large tree trunks have also been used as an additional nature friendly barrier to vehicles.
If you have any questions about fencing, then please contact the Parish Council.
