Friday 8 December saw the group’s third fund-raising event trying to push onwards towards the next £25,000 needed to complete the replacement of the play equipment near the viaduct.

The Cheese and Wine evening was, as ever, well supported and our thanks go to all the very generous inhabitants of the villages for their wonderful efforts. The sum raised will be in excess of £500.

Special thanks go Carin and Graham King for the arrangements of auction prizes and to Brian Moore and Chris Eaton as our team of auctioneers.

Following the successes of our first year of fund-raising and now this event we will be holding another race night in late April/early May, date to be arranged.
