No English summer would be complete without the sounds of leather on willow, generous applause rippling across a sunlit cricket pitch or the contented sigh of a cricket enthusiast enjoying their game.






Well, you don't need to stray as far as the Oval for some top class cricket thanks to the Chappel and Wakes Colne Cricket Club.  Based at the Cricket Ground in Inworth Lane, Wakes Colne, the Club has two adult teams and lots of youngsters.

Playing in the PDQ Cars Cricket League the 1st team is in the first division and the 2nd team is in the third.

Under 16s are welcome to join as Colts and you can find out more by visiting the website or contacting the people listed below.  The Colts normally meet on a Monday night at 6.00pm between May and September.
