Recipe of the Month: Chocolate Cookies

As a small treat to visitors to the
Chappel Parish Council website, we would like to include a recipe spot. If you have a favourite recipe you'd like us to
publish, please email it to the website coordinator.
The recipe this month is from Jean Beany of Chappel and is perfect for baking during the Summer holidays - it's easy enough to get the children to join in.
The best bit is licking the spoon!
Mix together the flour and cocoa
Add the egg yolk to the creamed mixture and mix in flour and cocoa
Grease or line with baking paper baking sheets
Take small amounts of mixture roll into ball and flatten slightly on baking sheet. (If very soft wrap mixture in cling film and chill for 30 minutes)
Bake in oven temp 160 degrees for about 15 minutes
Leave to cool on tray for 5 minutes and then put on wire rack until cold and crisp.
Dust with icing sugar.
